How we collect and use your information when you get a quote, get in touch, or visit this website.

DeckWorx is a decking and pergola business run by its owner, based in Bournemouth, Dorset. We work across Bournemouth and the surrounding areas. Getting a quote. Our quote form asks for your name and email address. You can also add your phone number, the service you're interested in, a message, and a photo of your garden if you'd like to attach one. This goes through Web3Forms, a third-party service that delivers form submissions straight to our email inbox… we don't hold it anywhere else. We use it to answer your enquiry and put together a quote. Our basis for this is that you've asked us to take these steps before any work begins, alongside our own interest in running the business.
Calling or emailing us. The phone number and email address on this site are live links. If you call or email, we receive whatever you send us, in the ordinary way.
Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit and whether they click our phone number, email link or quote form. This helps us understand what's working on the site. We only switch this on if you say yes to it… see the next section.
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you're happy for us to use analytics cookies. Analytics is off by default, whichever you choose. If you click Accept, it switches on. If you click Reject, it stays off. Our basis for using analytics cookies is your consent.
We remember your choice by storing a small value in your browser (called cw-consent), so the banner doesn't keep asking. That stored choice stays on your device and isn't sent anywhere. If you'd like to change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will appear again.
Web3Forms delivers your quote form submission to our inbox. Google (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics) processes analytics data if you've accepted cookies, and may handle this on servers outside the UK… Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) covers what they do with it.
A few other services load automatically when you open a page, the same as on any website. Cloudflare hosts and serves the site and keeps short-term security and traffic logs. Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Tailwind CSS supplies the styling, loaded from its own server. Each of these sees your IP address and browser details simply because that's how a web page reaches you… we haven't chosen to share anything with them beyond that.
We keep your enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with your quote and any work that follows, then we delete it.
Under UK data protection law, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you. You can also ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or object to us using it. Where it applies, you can ask us to send your information to you or somewhere else. If you've said yes to analytics cookies, you can withdraw that at any time by clearing your site data, as above. To use any of these rights, just email us.
We'd rather you came to us first, so we can put things right. But if you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
We don't sell your data to anyone. We won't sign you up to marketing emails or texts… we only contact you about your enquiry. This site is for adults arranging work on their property, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
